That Haywire movie trailer…
…was practically made for Ask Applerum’s mod. Female marine kicking ass, taking names, and cold-clocking Antonio Banderas for being a pansy prettyboy.

Thoughts on Equestrian physical development
So we can see that baby unicorns and pegasus are capable of both powerful magic and flight, respectively, soon after birth. This actually does fit in with “real” horses - they’ve evolved to be capable of intense running soon after being born, as a way to get away from predators.
But how, then, to explain Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell, who are relatively incapable in comparison to their much younger peers?
Well, for one, Equestrian ponies aren’t real horses - in that we human beings are exactly chimpanzees. Part of evolutionary sentience seems to be the dilution of adaptive traits through reduced environmental burdens - a more cohesively social childbearing paradigm would reduce the need for fight-or-flight capabilities, and therefore allowing those with weaker traits along those lines to express genetic lineage as well as those with stronger traits.
Thus, since Equestrians have a fairly advanced civilization, and one that’s been in place for a while… the case of the CMC:
Pre-teen ponies have it somewhat rough. Their youthful capabilities are energy-intensive, and their bodies are in a developmental stage, where most of the required energy goes towards growth - Scootaloo can flap hard enough to get that scooter zooming, but flight is another thing altogether. Furthermore, her wingsize and wing musculature is simply undeveloped in comparison to the rest of her body - her increased stature and weight since birth necessitates equivalent development in the wings to compensate, and this simply doesn’t exist prior to adolescence.
One would assume something similar is applicable to unicorns.
It also means that adolescence is probably a rather stressful time. “Growing pains” is one thing - but those wings grow in quick once they reach a certain age. And imagine dealing with fits and spurts of developing magical capability - hell, Twilight had her’s all at once to famous effect, especially as an early developer (she was younger than Sweetie Bell during her initial apprenticeship under Celestia, iirc).
So, thus, it’s not as if the CMC are developmentally challenged. It’s just that they need a year or two more before they go through… well, what everybody goes through.

MLP:FiM S2E13 - Baby Cakes
Pinkie gets a taste of her own medicine here - Looney Tunes style.
Hilarious ep. And it’s nice seeing Pinkie as a fully fleshed out character, rather than a gag vehicle. Actually, I really liked her presentation here as opposed to how she’s been showing up throughout the rest of the season.
But, god, yeah. I hate taking care of babies. Mostly because doing so was pretty much my job when my baby sister was born. The diapers along are… eurgh…

The Goggles, They Do NOTHING!: Sejuani...Really?
Okay. Here’s the thing:
I always think that the champion artwork looks amazing; it’s always well done. But, quite frankly, I’m tried of seeing character designs like this come from Riot. Obviously, not all of the newer female champions have been so…sexified (Shyvana…
Sejuani’s case is a matter of, believe it or not, consistency.
Compare her to Ashe.

Apparently, Freljord folks are immune to the cold.

When I first started League, and tried Taric, I was downright terrible.
Now, well, support champs are second nature to me.
Still don’t like him much, though. His stun’s singularly awesome, but given that everything else requires him to be at or near melee range to be effective… don’t like that. Can do it - 0/4/19 is a decent record on him - but don’t like it.
